With 3D technology, it is now possible to create a patient “avatar,” enhancing diagnosis, planning, communication, and interdisciplinary workflows — applicable to both esthetic cases and complex full-arch rehabilitations. Close collaboration with the lab and the use of digital workflows improve quality and efficiency. Cementation — especially adhesive protocols — is a critical phase, with specific guidelines for glass ceramics and zirconia. New ceramic materials and adhesive techniques have reshaped restorative dentistry, promoting minimally invasive preparations that preserve enamel and tooth structure.
