The hands-on MIT course is designed to familiarize you with implant components both surgically and prosthetically. In addition, the goal is for you to gain comfort with the procedures as outlined below. For those of you with experience in dental implants, you will gain tips and tricks from our experienced clinicians. Given the synergy between surgery and prosthetics, it’s important to understand both, regardless of your area of interest.

Learning Objectives:

The following model-based procedures will be included in the hands-on instruction:

1) Review anatomy and surgical protocol

2) Place 2 implants for mandibular overdenture

3) Place single implants

4) Suturing procedures on a soft tissue model

5) Temporary crown fabrication

6) Place, pick up, and size locators for mandibular overdentures

This small group comprehensive 2-Day program focuses on the merits of embracing Immediacy as a patient centered implant prosthodontic treatment solution. Through a series of live and previously recorded surgeries, formal presentations, group discussions and hands-on training, dental teams will become familiar with the merits of Immediacy Protocols for both the single tooth and full arch solutions. Particular emphasis will be placed on how best to have the entire team embrace and advocate for Immediacy Protocols to be adopted in dental practices.

Synopsis

MALO CLINIC Education has created a program that provides the participant   with a unique opportunity to understand all surgical alternatives to perform   a standard All-on-4® Concept.

The All-on-4® concept is one of the breakthroughs in Implant Dentistry,   allowing the rehabilitation of the majority of edentulous arches without the   need of bone grafting. Created at MALO CLINIC, the All-on-4® concept it is   backed up by more than 20 years of clinical research with excellent long-term   results.

Today, the All-on-4® concept is up to date with the digital revolution in   implant dentistry, allowing to upgrade surgical and prosthodontic protocols   following a full digital workflow. In this 3-day course, the participants will   gain knowledge on the analogical workflow, the digital approach through 3D   navigated surgery, and the digital workflow with the use of stackable guides;   representing the basis and state-of-the-art approaches to how the   contemporary All-on-4® concept is performed. It includes 3 live surgeries,   backed up by theory, featuring live demonstrations or hands-on from planning   to surgery and hands-on in implant placement (one for each approach)!

This 2 day didactic and hands-on program is for the GP who wants to improve their fundamental surgical skill set. Participants will be able to experience a wide variety of
surgical procedures typically seen in a GP office, but the emphasis will be on developing effective clinical skills in flaps, suturing and extractions.

This course is limited attendance with a low instructor to student ratio and will take place in our simulation lab where you will learn on phantom heads, special dental models, and pig mandibles.

Simulation lab experience will include:

• Flap design
• Suturing (interrupted, continuous locking, figure of 8)
• Biopsy techniques
• Simple extractions (forceps and elevators)

• Impactions (lower mesio-angular and horizontal)
• Root removal
• Incision and Drainage (drain placement)
• Oral-antral penetration repair (sliding flaps)
• Tongue and lip tie revision
• Socket preservation and basic GB
• Sinus bump (Summers procedure)
• Connective tissue grafting
• Introduction to implant placement (guided and freehand)

This interactive course is structured to provide step-by-step training at a very personal level. It employs case-based learning by emphasizing evidence-based learning for daily usage. Participants will learn from the basic tools to the latest advancements in digital implant dentistry. Streamlined clinical and digital workflows will be presented to increase efficiency and clinical outcomes. All the secrets of static guided surgery and X-Guide dynamic navigation will be unveiled to discern when and how to use the different surgThis interactive course is structured to provide step-by-step training at a very personal level. It employs case-based learning by emphasizing evidence-based learning for daily usage. Participants will learn from the basic tools to the latest advancements in digital implant dentistry. Streamlined clinical and digital workflows will be presented to increase efficiency and clinical outcomes. The DTX Studio™ Clinic, DTX Studio™ Implant and DTX Studio™ Lab software will be presented, explaining how to simplify the digital workflow for predictable guided immediate implant placement and immediate loading. The digital implant planning rules for anterior, posterior and full arch cases will be reviewed and updated to achieve biological, functional and esthetic success. The attendees will improve their own confidence and skills with digital planning through immersive software hands-on.

Indications and limitations of the static and dynamic guided surgery will be reviewed and discussed, from simple flapless to advanced procedures, including digital assisted soft tissue sculpturing (DASS Technique), Guided Socket Shield protocols and X-Act Teeth. Special emphasis will be given to interdisciplinary digitally assisted treatment planning and final aesthetics in the different clinical scenarios.

Der Inhalt in diesem Kurs ist speziell dem Weichgewebe, Freilegungen und Weichgewebetransplantaten sowie der Schaffung adäquater Verhältnisse um das Implantat herum gewidmet. 

Chirurgische Komplikationen und Periimplantitis lassen sich in keiner implantologisch tätigen Praxis gänzlich vermeiden – oder doch? Können wir es mit moderner Hardware schaffen, das Problem zu reduzieren? 

In diesem Kurs wird das Implantat des in Kurs 1 versorgten Patienten freigelegt, so dass der Behandlungsablauf praxisrelevant nachverfolgt werden kann. Durch die entsprechende Bilddokumentation des bisherigen Behandlungsablaufs ist der Inhalt dieses Seminars auch für Teilnehmer, die nur diesen Kurs besuchen wollen, komplett nachvollziehbar.

Flapless immediate implant placement and provisionalization (FIIPP) is a modern treatment method characterized by fast time-to-teeth, less surgical interventions with equal or better prosthetic results and an improved patient acceptance.  

In this course, we will take you through each step of the FIIPP protocol from diagnosis over treatment planning to surgical and prosthetic protocols. We will demonstrate the methods that can optimize predictable, long-term treatment success. Amongst the topics covered are the One abutment one time concept, the use of the N1 Base, and other Nobel Biocare products.
