Mastering implant surgery and prosthetic rehabilitation: A comprehensive guide from theory to practice
4 days theory, hands-on and live surgery
5 days planning and treatment on patients
Intense theoretical-practical course
This immersive course is designed to elevate your skills in implant surgery and prosthetic rehabilitation, taking you through a complete learning journey—from foundational anatomical principles to complex clinical applications. Whether you are an experienced clinician looking to refine your expertise or a practitioner eager to deepen your understanding of implantology, this course offers a unique blend of theory, hands-on practice, and clinical case management.
Starting with a thorough evaluation of anatomical bases, we will explore the indications for implant placement, focusing on the crown-down approach. This technique enables participants to identify the future free gingival margin and assess whether the site requires tissue regeneration or is in an optimal condition. We will then dive into prosthetic profile evaluation as a fundamental step in surgical planning, followed by an in-depth analysis of various implant site scenarios: immediate post-extraction implants, implants in healed tissues, and advanced soft and hard tissue management.
Key surgical techniques will be covered, including connective tissue graft, free gingival graft, horizontal and vertical bone augmentation, and soft tissue management. We will also explore the biological considerations of the implant-to-restoration interface, ensuring long-term success. Alongside these surgical principles, emphasis will be placed on the planning and design of prosthetic rehabilitation, balancing the critical biological factors with the aesthetic excellence required for every restoration.
During the second session of the course, participants will be tasked with applying the knowledge gained in the first phase. You will plan and execute clinical cases, starting from patient evaluation and surgical planning to the actual surgery, concluding with the delivery of provisional restorations where applicable. This real-world application solidifies the concepts learned and gives you the confidence to bring these advanced techniques into your practice.
Take home concepts:
- Comprehensive understanding of anatomical foundations and implant indications
- Mastery of the crown-down technique for optimal implant placement
- Proficiency in assessing prosthetic profiles for precise surgical planning
- Experience with immediate post-extraction implants and implants in healed sites
- Advanced techniques in soft tissue management, including free gingival grafts and connective tissue grafts
- Expertise in the evaluation and planning of bone regeneration treatments, both vertical and horizontal augmentations
- Insights into the biological principles of the implant-to-prosthetic interface
- Practical application of surgical planning, case management, and provisional restoration delivery
- The ability to confidently plan, execute, and manage complex implant and prosthetic cases from start to finish
This course will provide you with not only the theoretical knowledge but also the practical skills needed to elevate your practice and deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Synopsis
The All-on-4® concept is an innovative surgical procedure for the rehabilitation of edentulous jaws focusing entirely on the patient. By taking advantage of the dense bone available in the anterior maxilla and between the mandibular foramina, this widely applicable surgical technique allows the treatment of a significantly greater number of patients, while avoiding the need for complex, time consuming and often debilitating bone grafting procedures.
An important aspect of the long-term success of the All-on-4® concept is the full-arch implant-supported dental prosthetics. There are several options for both the immediate provisional and the definitive prosthesis with the ensemble of different materials in the infrastructure, the artificial gingiva and the crowns, each option with its own advantages and disadvantages that warrant discussion. Some examples include the MALO CLINIC ceramic bridge, the MALO CLINIC acrylic bridge, the MALO CLINIC PEEK-acrylic bridge.
The presentations by MALO CLINIC will focus on the laboratory process, clinical outcomes and scientific research using different materials in full-arch implant supported prostheses (including zygomatic implants). During these two days, the MALO CLINIC clinical team pioneer of the All-on-4® concept will demonstrate how to achieve immediate function, excellent esthetics and predictable long-term success through state-of-the-art protocols including, surgery, prosthodontics, and maintenance. In this prosthodontic clinical residency, the participant will have the opportunity to watch live surgery, perform prosthodontic hands-on and take advantage of a prosthetic mentorship, watching live patient treatments/appointments and discussing the cases.
This course is targeted to oral surgeons, prosthodontists, or dental laboratory technicians that want to stay up to date with the latest protocols related to the All-on-4® concept.
