Objetivos

• Organizar, gestionar y dirigir el protocolo de primera visita, diagnóstico, elaboración de plan de tratamiento y formas de plantear el presupuesto y plan económico.
• Historia clínica del paciente de implantes, manejo clínico de factores de riesgo, metabolopatías, anticoagulantes, enfermedades sistemas, bifosfonatos, enfermedades psiquiátricas y neurológicas a tener en cuenta.
• Entender la biología y traducción clínica del hueso crestal, factor que condiciona la técnica quirúrgica, el diseño protésico, la prevención de la periimplantitis y la fidelización del paciente.
• Aprender las técnicas quirúrgicas y el manejo de sus complicaciones, así como su planificación para poder tratar cualquier caso con seguridad.
• Entender la importancia del diseño de la prótesis y su mantenimiento, sus conceptos mecánicos y biológicos e incorporar una gestión del laboratorio moderna, con visión clínica y de crecimiento asumiendo unos protocolos de eficiencia en los controles del gasto.
• Incorporar los conceptos de estética facial así como aprender todas las técnicas de estética y manejo de rellenos.

Ever since Dr. Paulo Maló published the first article on the All-on-4™ protocol for implant reconstruction of the mandibular full arch in 2003, there have been significant changes in the way dental professionals managing patients for full-arch implant restoration. Initially, there were concerns regarding the use of only four implants to support a full arch fixed restoration. The dental community exercised caution, particularly when the All-on-4™ protocol was indicated for immediate loading. 

After 25 years of clinical application and extensive documentation, All-on-4™ has firmly established itself as an effective method for full arch and full mouth dental implant reconstruction, particularly in patients with limited bone volume in the posterior oral regions. 

In recent years, dentistry has been undergoing digital transformation, with the integration of a complete digital workflow into dentists' everyday practices, including dental implant treatments. 

This three-day course aims to present the long-term evidence of All-on-4™ from both literature sources and real-world experiences. Additionally, the course will demonstrate the benefits of digitalization in full-arch protocols with live procedures. The All-on-4® treatment concept is a highly efficient and effective solution for patients who are edentulous or facing tooth loss. This innovative approach uses four implants to support a full-arch prosthesis, which can be delivered immediately, offering patients rapid and reliable results. During 2 Days of Clinical Residence with Prof. Paulo Malo, the pioneer of the All-on-4®protocol, will guide on how the patient will have immediate function and excellent esthetics with a limited number of implants This course also introduces a variety of other cases such as zygoma, single and multiple implants through hands-on activities, live surgeries, lectures, prosthetic considerations, and clinical case discussions. Participants will have the opportunity to follow complex prosthetic cases guided by Prof. Paulo Malo, gaining practical skills and deeper clinical insight.

The tilted implant approach has been a revolutionary technique that has changed the way total implant-supported rehabilitation is done.

Increased patient comfort, time savings, cost savings, and improved esthetic outcome are just some of the advantages brought by these treatments in modern dentistry. Thanks to new trans-sinusal and trans-crestal implant placement methods, it is possible to avoid bone grafting and take advantage of residual bone by tilting the implants not only in the mesio-distal but also in the palato-vestibular direction.

You will be able to try the original protocols with your own hands and place implants according to the Tilted Implants approach. Through surgery on anatomical preparation, it will be possible for each participant to try in real bone every rehabilitation option for atrophic jaws: All-on-4 maxillary and mandibular, Trans-Sinus, Trans-Crestal, Pterygoid and Zygomatic implants.

Learning objectives:

-Learn to perform the correct treatment option based on bone availability. 

-Learn  how to place tilted implants following the original all-on-4 and V-II-V protocol.

-Learn how to manage implant failure in total rehabilitation with tilted implants.

-Learn how to perform trans-sinus and trans-crestal implants in thin residual ridge.

The digital implant planning rules for anterior, posterior and full arch cases will be reviewed and updated to achieve biological, functional and esthetic success. The attendees will improve their own confidence and skills with digital planning through immersive software hands-on.

Indications and limitations of the static and dynamic guided surgery will be reviewed and discussed, from simple flapless to advanced procedures, including digital assisted soft tissue sculpturing (DASS Technique), Guided Socket Shield protocols and X-Act Teeth. Special emphasis will be given to interdisciplinary digitally assisted treatment planning and final aesthetics in the different clinical scenarios.
