This comprehensive course is perfect for dentists who want to increase their knowledge and skill set in dental implant surgery.  The program will help you gain a solid foundation in the principles and techniques of implant surgery through extensive hands-on training exercises on models, suture pads, and cadavers.

The hands-on MIT course is designed to familiarize you with implant components both surgically and prosthetically. This small group comprehensive 2-Day program focuses on the merits of embracing Immediacy as a patient centered implant prosthodontic treatment solution. Through a series of live and previously recorded surgeries, formal presentations, group discussions and hands-on training, dental teams will become familiar with the merits of Immediacy Protocols for both the single tooth and full arch solutions. Particular emphasis will be placed on how best to have the entire team embrace and advocate for Immediacy Protocols to be adopted in dental practices.

This immersive beginning implant course provides a comprehensive introduction to the world of dental implant surgery.  Designed especially for new dentists eager to enhance their skills, this course offers a hands-on intensive experience that will set you on the path to success for your implant progression.

This 2 day didactic and hands-on program is for the GP who wants to improve their fundamental surgical skill set. Participants will be able to experience a wide variety of
surgical procedures typically seen in a GP office, but the emphasis will be on developing effective clinical skills in flaps, suturing and extractions.

This course is limited attendance with a low instructor to student ratio and will take place in our simulation lab where you will learn on phantom heads, special dental models, and pig mandibles.

Learning Objectives

• Effectively assess patient and procedural risks
• Develop proficiency in the selection and use of surgical instruments
• Learn and apply surgical approaches to minimize tissue traumaManage
• Recognize and manage complications

Simulation lab experience will include:

• Flap design
• Suturing (interrupted, continuous locking, figure of 8)
• Biopsy techniques
• Simple extractions (forceps and elevators)
•  Surgical extractions (bone and soft tissue sparing)
• Impactions (lower mesio-angular and horizontal)
• Root removal
• Incision and Drainage (drain placement)
• Oral-antral penetration repair (sliding flaps)
• Tongue and lip tie revision
• Socket preservation and basic GB
• Sinus bump (Summers procedure)
• Connective tissue grafting
• Introduction to implant placement (guided and freehand)

Fundamental course focusing on immediate implant placement, delayed implant therapy and soft tissue management, as well as management of complications.

Flapless immediate implant placement and provisionalization (FIIPP) is a modern treatment method characterized by fast time-to-teeth, less surgical interventions with equal or better prosthetic results and an improved patient acceptance.  

In this course, we will take you through each step of the FIIPP protocol from diagnosis over treatment planning to surgical and prosthetic protocols. We will demonstrate the methods that can optimize predictable, long-term treatment success. Amongst the topics covered are the One abutment one time concept, the use of the N1 Base, and other Nobel Biocare products.
