Immediate full-arch rehabilitation utilizing the All-on-4® Treatment Concept: Saskatoon

Oct 14 - 15, 2022
Saskatoon, SK, CA
Ms. Suzie Maxwell
Dr Philip Walton
Edentulous patients and patients with failing dentition who want a fixed prosthetic rehabilitation are often faced with time-consuming, expensive, and uncomfortable bone grafting procedures. The perceived complexity of rehabilitation is a great obstacle to treatment acceptance for these patients and many dental clinicians as well. The All-on-4 treatment concept was developed by Nobel Biocare to eliminate many of the difficulties facing patients and clinicians. It allows for an immediate function, full-arch, implant-supported prosthesis without the need for any bone grating procedures, even in atrophic situations. In this 2-day program, participants will learn how to assess and select patients for this procedure. A comprehensive surgical and restorative protocol complemented with digital planning and execution will be presented to the participants. The latter will highlight the relevant steps and procedures that are essential in securing a successful outcome for these challenging cases. The participants will have the opportunity to observe the complete surgical and restorative rehabilitation of the patient, from planning to the delivery of a highly functional and esthetic solution supported by 4 implants in anatomically strategic positions, thus dramatically increasing the quality of life for the patient. This program is aimed at clinicians already familiar with common edentulous treatments, who would like to progress to more complex edentulous treatment modalities and develop their clinical competencies. Upon completion of this course, participant will : Understand patient case selection to optimize the overall success of the rehabilitation of the patient. •Understand the importance of digital tools (CBCT and digital planning softwares, DTX) in the assessment, planning and surgical execution of the All on 4 treatment concept. •Be familiar with the scientific evidence supporting advanced rehabilitation of the edentulous mandible/maxilla. •Understand the surgical and prosthetic step-by-step protocol for the All-on-4 treatment concept. •Understand the challenges of complications of both the surgical and restorative phases of the All-on-4 treatment concept. •Know how to produce a provisional prosthesis for immediate function and same-day treatment.

Optimal treatment solution for the edentulous patient: Using software to plan3D navigation cases for the using the All-on-4® treatment concept

Oct 29, 2022
Beverly Hills, CA, US
Dr Ken Parrish

Navigated technology has demonstrated the predictability of static guides without many of the challenges/limitations. Three-dimensional navigated implant placement offers much more than routine surgical accuracy and precision. The intuitive software interface makes planning rapid and simple. Patient-satisfying immediacy can then become a realistic routine option. The plan should also be used for education as it allows patients to see their specific condition and appreciate anatomic risks as a necessary prerequisite for informed consent. Just as importantly, demonstrating the technology to the patient is a great practice builder. Educated patients expect to see technology-driven practices and are more likely to gain confidence and place their trust in a progressive dental practice.

The All-on-4® treatment concept offers a viable and cost-effective implant-based solution for edentulous jaws that produces immediate patient satisfaction. This course will present a surgical and prosthetic overview of the All-on-4® treatment concept, using software to plan 3D navigation during the surgery.

Learning outcomes

After this course, the participant will understand...

– The workflow of 3D navigated implant placement from diagnostics through planning and surgical delivery. Included will be how to make any necessary adjustments to the plan even mid-surgery.

– Implant placement, even in immediate sites, can be accurate and precise with real-time feedback and tactile sensitivity maintained. This is critical in cases where bone density has to be monitored during the osteotomy when primary stability with immediate provisionalization is a goal.

– How the efficiency of navigated implant placement using X-Guide® allows routine treatment of patients even on an immediate urgent/emergent basis.

– What prosthetically driven surgical planning can do to improve referral communication and satisfaction and strengthen the referral relationship while growing the practice.

Immediate implants and dynamic navigation

Nov 19, 2022
Burlingame, CA, US
Dr Daniel Cullum

Immediate implant placement has gained broader application and clinical results are very predictable. This course will teach techniques for immediate management of single- and multi-rooted teeth in both maxillary and mandibular extraction sites.

Dynamic navigational surgery with X-Guide® provides a paradigm shift in predictably preplanning implant treatment for optimal outcomes. These techniques offer a faster healing interval and minimal discomfort. Cone beam CT imaging is important for evaluation of alveolar dimensions, inferior alveolar nerve proximity, sinus anatomy and pathology for appropriate case selection. Progressive skill development will be shown to manage and avoid patient complications.

This program will focus on the best clinical practices using case studies, simultaneous procedure and dynamic navigation videos,
and hands-on applications.

This course is intended for oral surgeons, periodontists, and advanced clinicians with experience in implant dentistry.
