Aladdin J. Al-Ardah
Regeneration of osseous defects has become an integral part of implant dentistry, yet it is an invasive procedure that may be complicated, extends the treatment time, adds cost to the patient and may need an advanced skill level. Ridge preservation on the other hand is a relatively simple procedure that helps minimize the risk of osseous defects following an extraction, thus reducing the instances were a more complicated bone regeneration would otherwise be needed.
