Starting with a thorough evaluation of anatomical bases, we will explore the indications for implant placement, focusing on the crown-down approach. This technique enables participants to identify the future free gingival margin and assess whether the site requires tissue regeneration or is in an optimal condition. We will then dive into prosthetic profile evaluation as a fundamental step in surgical planning, followed by an in-depth analysis of various implant site scenarios: immediate post-extraction implants, implants in healed tissues, and advanced soft and hard tissue management.

Key surgical techniques will be covered, including connective tissue graft, free gingival graft, horizontal and vertical bone augmentation, and soft tissue management. We will also explore the biological considerations of the implant-to-restoration interface, ensuring long-term success. Alongside these surgical principles, emphasis will be placed on the planning and design of prosthetic rehabilitation, balancing the critical biological factors with the aesthetic excellence required for every restoration.

During the second session of the course, participants will be tasked with applying the knowledge gained in the first phase. Knochen und Implantatposition – Handling und Handwerk zur Schaffung des Fundamentes  

Zu Beginn des Kursprogramms steht – wie in der Praxis – die Selektion der Patienten an. Wie und mit welcher Technik kann ich auch bei ungenügendem Knochenangebot den Fall noch versorgen? Wie positioniere ich das richtig ausgewählte Implantat bei schwierigen Verhältnissen? Wie ist die Abgrenzung zur reinen Augmentation und mit welchem Verfahren gehe ich dann vor? Wie passe ich mein Vorgehen bei zusätzlichen Risikofaktoren wie PA oder Rauchen an? Special emphasis will be given to interdisciplinary digitally assisted treatment planning and final aesthetics in the different clinical scenarios.

Hands-on zum Üben der Besonderheiten bei einer Sofortimplantation

An ideal treatment plan requires thorough esthetic, functional, and structural analysis, supported by radiographic and digital examinations. Necessary adjustments to optimize teeth and soft tissues are transferred to the technician to create a wax-up and a diagnostic/functional mock-up. With 3D technology, it is now possible to create a patient “avatar,” enhancing diagnosis, planning, communication, and interdisciplinary workflows — applicable to both esthetic cases and complex full-arch rehabilitations. In implant therapy, diagnosis and treatment planning is still more demanding due to the critical aspect of the soft tissue contour and volume.

The success of implant-supported prostheses depends on optimal integration of all interfaces prosthetic, esthetic, soft tissue, and bone — through well-chosen surgical and restorative protocols. A solid grasp of biological principles and proper material selection are essential for achieving a stable mucosal seal and natural esthetic outcomes. Perfect esthetic integration relies on three pillars: diagnosis and prosthetic planning, proper management of the bone compartment, and careful handling of the supracrestal soft tissue compartment. The latter, increasingly important in modern implantology, is critical for avoiding complications and major esthetic defects.

Safe treatment in esthetic zones begins with thorough evaluation and selection of the most suitable surgical-prosthetic strategy. Finalization requires in-depth knowledge of restorative materials to replicate in the definitive prosthesis all the features tested in provisionals. Close collaboration with the lab and the use of digital workflows improve quality and efficiency. Cementation — especially adhesive protocols — is a critical phase, with specific guidelines for glass ceramics and zirconia. New ceramic materials and adhesive techniques have reshaped restorative dentistry, promoting minimally invasive preparations that preserve enamel and tooth structure.             

Digital workflows, including intraoral scanning, integrate these solutions seamlessly. Managing provisional restorations and accurately transferring esthetic and functional parameters to the lab are key steps. During this week-long course, all these aspects will be thoroughly explored from both a scientific and clinical perspective, with a strong practical approach to enable immediate application of the illustrated protocols. Wer Implantologie betreibt, der weiß, was auch die wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen bestätigen: Das Weichgewebe um ein Implantat ist ein sehr schwer zu erhaltendes und noch schwerer zu schaffendes Gewebe. 

Der Inhalt in diesem Kurs ist speziell dem Weichgewebe, Freilegungen und Weichgewebetransplantaten sowie der Schaffung adäquater Verhältnisse um das Implantat herum gewidmet. 

Chirurgische Komplikationen und Periimplantitis lassen sich in keiner implantologisch tätigen Praxis gänzlich vermeiden – oder doch? Können wir es mit moderner Hardware schaffen, das Problem zu reduzieren? 

In diesem Kurs wird das Implantat des in Kurs 1 versorgten Patienten freigelegt, so dass der Behandlungsablauf praxisrelevant nachverfolgt werden kann. Durch die entsprechende Bilddokumentation des bisherigen Behandlungsablaufs ist der Inhalt dieses Seminars auch für Teilnehmer, die nur diesen Kurs besuchen wollen, komplett nachvollziehbar.
