Nobel Biocare and KaVo Imaging release DTX Studio™ Clinic 1.8
Brea, CA (April 2021) – Nobel Biocare and KaVo Imaging are announcing their latest software development for imaging, diagnostics, treatment planning, treatment delivery, and follow-up. Available in North America and selected European markets first, DTX Studio Clinic is developed to redefine connectivity and offer continuity of care for all patients in the dental office, during all visits, and for the entire dental treatment team.
DTX Studio Clinic 1.8 is designed to speed up and manage daily imaging procedures in one software, through fast intraoral X-ray diagnostic workflows. Both healthcare professionals and distributing partners benefit from a simplified and comprehensive software landscape.
DTX Studio Clinic, part of the DTX Studio suite, is an open, interactive, and dynamic imaging software platform with impressive navigation across imaging modalities: 2D and 3D, X-ray, and optical patient image data from various sources. Clinicians will benefit from how the software intuitively allows for seamless image acquisition, diagnostics, organization, cooperation, and treatment workflows in a single environment – for every patient visit.
Convenient Clinical Decision Making
DTX Studio Clinic is a software dedicated to support everyday patient diagnostics. It offers a clear, clean interface with multiple workspaces to assist with accurate and fast diagnostics. From photos, clinical images, intraoral, panoramic and cephalometric X-rays to CBCT and Intraoral optical scans, all types of images can be displayed on the same screen at the same time. The side-by-side display allows for quick identification of dental anatomy changes, which helps to support diagnostics, treatment progress, and patient follow-up.
Delivering Dental Treatments
During each appointment, the patient’s imaging history and present situation guide the next steps. Dental professionals continuously act on findings from the patient's visual record and with the help of DTX Studio Clinic, they finally have all collected information conveniently structured and always retrievable at their fingertips.
Streamlined Implant Planning
Improving workflow within the office is key to a better work environment. From implantologists who are just beginning to use DTX Studio Clinic to those who are experienced – and also using DTX Studio Implant – DTX Studio suite offers customized workflows to accommodate the clinician’s current and future skillsets.
The DTX Studio Implant module facilitates the visualization of critical information for detailed implant planning according to the desired prosthetic outcome. Tools for enhanced collaboration with the dental technician make it simple for the clinician to offer patients a CAD/CAM provisional restoration on the day of surgery.
For dental laboratories, the DTX Studio Lab design module combines powerful CAD tools with an intuitive interface. It enables quick and easy design of the desired restoration, whether tooth- or implant based.
Owing to the ever-changing dental technology market, DTX Studio Clinic was developed to support clinicians’ current and future needs. As an open software solution, it connects to KaVo’s imaging devices, but also accepts images from any X-ray device, intraoral optical scanner, desktop scanner or camera, supporting open industry standard formats, like DICOM, PNG, BMP, JPG, STL, PLY or the TWAIN protocol. Full support for Windows® PC and Mac operating systems, make DTX Studio Clinic an ideal fit for any practice.
To better serve Mac users, DTX Studio Clinic combines elegance and intuitiveness with a native MacOS version. The consistency in the DTX Studio Clinic user interface, operation, and appearance provide a feeling of familiarity regardless of the imaging devices being used or the treatments being planned.
