Nobel Biocare announces full program of Global Symposium 2025
Zurich, Switzerland (February 27, 2025 ) — Nobel Biocare, a world leader in innovative implant-based dental solutions, is proud to announce its Global Symposium 2025, to be held from May 30–June 1, 2025, at the iconic Bellagio Hotel and Conference Center in Las Vegas. This three-day educational event will gather top clinicians, researchers, and industry experts to showcase the next generation of cutting-edge techniques, digital workflows, and premium solutions.
Celebrating heritage – from the first ever patient to innovations of today
A highlight of this year’s symposium is the celebration of a significant milestone: the 60th anniversary since Nobel Biocare’s founder, Professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark, placed the world’s first ever titanium dental implant. Renowned figures in implantology – Tomas Albrektsson, Matts Andersson, George Zarb, and Ruben Rosenberg – will inaugurate the event in a plenary session reflecting on the extraordinary evolution of implantology and offering insights into what the future may hold.
Unparalleled educational experience with 30+ hands-on sessions
Attendees will benefit from a robust program featuring main-stage plenary sessions on esthetic-zone, posterior and full-arch solutions, and six specialized breakout tracks. Each track is designed to provide deep dives into topics essential to clinicians and their teams:
- Own the esthetic zone: Hands-on training in immediate placement and provisionalization, digital workflows for esthetic treatment, and the Nobel Biocare N1™ system.
- All-on-4® digital transformation: Streamlining procedures using state-of-the-art photogrammetry, digital workflows, and fully integrated planning software.
- Fundamentals of full arch: Explore All-on-4® treatment concept and zygoma implant protocols, from surgical fundamentals to advanced applications.
- Soft and hard tissue management: Hands-on training in guided bone regeneration, horizontal and vertical bone augmentation, soft tissue optimization and complication management.
- Lab focus: Discover how digital workflows, photogrammetry, and centralized manufacturing can improve lab processes to deliver premium-quality restorations.
- Practice growth: Build the business side of dentistry with masterclasses on digital marketing, growth strategies, and patient-centric service, including presentations from The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center.
Exhibition of complete digital workflows
The on-site exhibition area will take visitors on a journey through Nobel Biocare’s holistic digital workflows, allowing clinicians to experience the synergy of diagnostic tools, guided surgery, navigation systems, and high-precision restorative solutions. Visitors can explore how these integrated technologies elevate treatment accuracy, efficiency, and predictability – ultimately improving patient outcomes.
Live surgeries with Istvan Urban and Paulo Malo
Two unmissable live surgeries will take place, firstly with Dr. Istvan Urban, a leading expert in bone and soft tissue regeneration. He will demonstrate advanced bone augmentation techniques for challenging posterior implant cases, with commentary provided by Dr. Joseph Kan.
On day 3, Dr. Paulo Malo, the creator of the All-on-4® treatment concept, will perform a full-arch surgery live from Malo Dental in Lisbon, Portugal, supported by moderators Prof. Enrico Agliardi and Dr. Larry Benge in Las Vegas.
These real-time demonstrations will offer unparalleled insight into expert clinical decision-making and surgical execution.
The new beFOR symposium featuring live surgery by Sascha Jovanovic
One day prior to the opening of Nobel Biocare’s event, the non-profit Foundation for Oral Rehabilitation (FOR) will host the first ‘beFOR Symposium’ on May 29, also at Bellagio Hotel.
Experts including James Chow, Chandur Wadhwani, and George Zarb will present scientific and educational sessions, and a highlight of the show will be live surgery by Dr. Sascha Jovanovic. Considered one of the founders of the bone regeneration technique (GBR), his demonstration will give insights into the principles of GBR, including management of the biomaterials and the application of barrier membranes to facilitate bone healing and regeneration.
The day will end with a networking event where members of the FOR Board of Trustees, Education Council, Science Council, and Emerging Leader Council will be present.
Network, learn, and get inspired
Beyond the clinical and technological highlights, the Nobel Biocare Global Symposium offers a unique opportunity to meet with peers, key opinion leaders, and product specialists from around the globe.
