When there's no room for error

Ensure correct angulation, direction and depth from the very first drill thanks to easy-to-use surgical templates. These custom-made templates simply guide the initial drill according to your NobelClinician treatment plan, helping to ensure optimized esthetics and function for your patients and allowing you to confidently continue with freehand surgery.

Why guided pilot drilling?

Precise first drill

Start your surgery with confidence by ensuring correct positioning from the very first drill. Optimize the drill position using your digital treatment plan and help to increase the predictability of your implant surgery.

Treatment for all indications

Treat partially edentulous and edentulous patients with guided pilot drilling and place implants from 3.0 to WP with confidence, while overcoming challenges such as bone resorption and avoiding critical anatomical structures.

High quality templates that fit

We develop and produce NobelGuide templates according to the Medical Devices Quality Management ISO 13485 and IOS 10993. Our processes are regularly audited by the notified body BSI and inspected by the FDA. In addition, every template you design is manually checked before production and verified for quality at our factory afterwards.

Customized surgical guidelines

Get all the relevant information for your surgical plan in one convenient document. It includes the template image, implant dimensions and surgical instructions, as well as sleeve offset, guided drill depth and general order information.

Confident freehand surgery

Start with guided pilot drilling and keep your surgery method and surgical kit; once the initial drill has been used you can continue with freehand surgery.

Optimized restorative outcome

Offer your patients optimal esthetics and function with a comprehensive range of prosthetic solutions. Our restorations demonstrate high precision of fit, mechanical stability and biocompatibility to provide years of safe and reliable function.

For partially edentulous patients

For implants from 3.0 to WP

NobelClinician provides safety margins and a warning system to help you avoid critical anatomical structures, so that you can place implants in narrow spaces or deeper with greater confidence.

Simple template design

Design a surgical template for partially edentulous patients in just one click following a digital treatment plan prepared by NobelClinician’s SmartFusion function, and create the perfect guide for predictable freehand implant placement.

Additional treatment flexibility

Keep your initial treatment plan unchanged by offsetting the pilot drill sleeve of the surgical template to allow for bone reduction and deeper implant placement.

For edentulous patients

Starting point for edentulous treatment

The range of pilot drill surgical templates has been extended to cover edentulous cases and can now be used for the All-on-4® treatment concept, allowing more patients to benefit from optimized esthetics and function.

Correct template fit

Improve the fit of your template before committing to a design thanks to our unique (CB)CT calibration procedure for radiographic-guide-based workflows.

Deeper implant placement

Avoid critical anatomical structures and place implants deeper when treating edentulous patients by using the sleeve-offset function. It allows you to confidently make use of all available bone and overcome common edentulous challenges such as bone resorption.

Roland Glauser.jpg

Dr. Roland Glauser, Switzerland

"The pilot drill is a very straightforward surgical procedure with maximum information transferred from planning to the surgical site. No further tooling or kit is necessary for this approach. Moreover, the anchor pins that stabilize the surgical template are not usually necessary in partial and single-tooth cases; the template is positioned on the remaining dentition and it can be placed and removed very quickly. This makes the approach very attractive."
