OsseoDirector

Nobel Biocare N1™ system

OsseoDirector™

The OsseoDirector instrument is the first step in the surgical protocol for the Nobel Biocare N1 system.

It features side-cutting ability and will determine the position, angle, and depth of the osteotomy.

“Once the first drill, the OsseoDirector instrument, is optimally placed, the rest of the Nobel Biocare N1 system follows. The second drill, the OsseoShaper™ instrument, is biologically driven because it drills at a slow rpm and without irrigation. Therefore, the osseous coagulum stays within the osteotomy to a great degree. Using only 2 drills before you place an implant limits the deviation. The way the bone reacts to drilling is something not within your control, so the less drilling you can do the better. This is particularly advantageous in compromised sites.”
