International speaker: Dr. Sreenivas Koka (USA), Rob Dulieu (Australia)
Indian speaker: Dr. V. Acharya, Dr. Kanir Bhatia, Dr. Ratnadeep Patil

All successful dental implant treatment depends on a thorough multi-dimensional clinical analysis and effective communication with the patient, that includes selection of methods that best image and evaluate the specific nature of the proposed host site(s), determination of the number of teeth to be replaced, the surgical protocol to be employed and ultimately the relevant esthetic and functional determinants for each identified treatment strategy based on the prosthetic outcomes and expectations of the patient from the treatment.

Using clinical examples, the diagnosis, digital treatment planning and execution including prosthetic restoration involving simple to complex implant treatments will be presented in this session.

Apart from providing excellent clinical services, all successful clinics offering implant treatment will find managing patient expectations and patient communication a crucial part that lead to success. In this session, speakers will also share their thought and insights on communicating with patients, managing the practice etc.

Achieving surgical success for compromised situations- Bone augmentation & soft tissue management

Time: 13:30-16:35
International speaker: Dr. Sascha Jovanovic (USA)
Speaker: Dr. Girish Rao, Dr. Ashish Kakar

When implant treatment protocols were established, clinicians started to focus on esthetic improvements and long-term restorative results. Innovative prosthetic solutions were developed starting in the 1980’s and in the beginning of 1990’s bone regeneration possibilities and protocols started to reach clinicians.

As bone regeneration today has become a frequent and routine procedure in implant dentistry the next step is to ensure optimal soft tissue outcomes to be able to establish long term esthetic results. Understanding flap designs, criteria for selection of bone substitutes and long term prognosis of the grafting is imperative to success.

This session reviews the biological principles, biomaterials and surgical techniques for vertical and horizontal ridge augmentation. It will review the most up-to-date techniques and advancements in soft and hard tissue grafting including indications, treatment planning, techniques and an update in periodontal anatomy and will explore the biological rationale that support the chosen techniques.
