My Cabinet

My Cabinet is a vendor managed inventory solution which allows you to safely store your Nobel Biocare products and automatically re-order the products you have used. 

What is vendor managed inventory?

Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) is a fully automated solution for inventory management and order fulfillment.

What is my cabinet?

My Cabinet is an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) enabled storage device used to control, monitor and store an inventory of Nobel Biocare products. All products being delivered to My Cabinet are coupled with an RFID Tag, which contains unique information for each article.

What is an RFID Tag?

The RFID Tag contains a unique Hexadecimal number which is matched to each article. This
tag is monitored by the system to track movement in and out of the cabinet for each article.

How do I access the cabinet?

Each office will authorize 2-3 individuals to have access to the cabinet. They will be issued a personal Access Control Badge which will allow them to access the cabinet at any time.

Each Access Control Badge recipient is responsible for all activity registered to that badge;
therefore, it is recommended not to allow others to use your Access Control Badge.

Opening the cabinet:

  1. Hold your assigned Access Control Badge in front of card reader.
  2. A white light will appear indicating that the cabinet can be opened. If the light is red the cabinet remains locked.
  3. Open the door.

How do I make sure my product is registered in My Cabinet?

Upon receipt of an order from Nobel Biocare, place the contents of the order in the cabinet and close the door. The cabinet will immediately read the product and register the product in the cabinet.

You will be able to see that the product is added to your inventory, by accessing My Cabinet section.

How will I know when a product is consumed?

All products removed from the cabinet and not returned to it by 12:00 a.m. (midnight) will be considered consumed. You will be able to identify the products consumed the following business day by accessing My Cabinet section.

Do I still need to do a physical audit?

With My Cabinet, you are not required to do a physical audit as all materials are automatically read and registered to your inventory.

Can I still order products manually?

Yes. Products may be ordered manually either through the online store, via your Nobel Biocare Sales Representative, or by contacting Customer Service. However, products ordered manually will not be visible to the replenishment system.

Can I modify inventory levels for articles in My Cabinet?

Should you wish to modify your inventory levels, please contact Customer Service.

Will I be able to identify who opens and closes My Cabinet?

Yes. To identify product movements in and out of the cabinet, My Cabinet section will be able to provide the date, time and user of all product movements.
