The All-on-4® treatment concept: A two-decade evolution
When Dr. Paulo Maló took the stage at Nobel Biocare EAO 2013 — the 15th anniversary of the first placement using the All-on-4® treatment concept — the doctor repeated a question he had heard from other clinicians: “Why did it take so long?” At this point in time, the All-on-4® treatment concept was just starting to become commonplace in the United States. Dr. Maló gave context to the innovation of the All-on-4® treatment concept, especially subperiosteal implants, which often required anywhere from 6 to 18 implants to support a full-arch rehabilitation. Digital innovations and guided surgical protocols continue to make the All-on-4® treatment concept accessible to more clinicians and patients.
With the introduction of the Ultra All-on-4™ solution and its focus on tissue integration, we want clinicians to ask that same question: “What took so long?” To answer that question and bring others up to speed on related topics, world-renowned prosthodontist, educator, and founder of the Digital Dentistry Institute, Dr. Sundeep Rawal, is hosting a discussion on the All-on-4® treatment concept.
Join the conversation
Nobel Biocare invites you to join a live interview with Dr. Sundeep Rawal. Dr. Rawal will take you through the advancements of the All-on-4® treatment concept since 1998 and what new innovations he is using to make the procedure more financially feasible and efficient, thereby making this life-changing procedure more available to clinicians and patients.
Introductory concepts for the zygomatic dental implants — Dr. Shuaib Malik
Traditionally, a severely resorbed maxilla with sinus pneumatization would need multiple surgeries including sinus augmentation/lifts and bone grafts to rebuild enough bone mass to create a sufficient foundation for traditional dental implant placement. In severely resorbed cases, zygomatic implants have been an evidence-based surgical and prosthetic solution since 1999 and have eliminated the need for bone grafting altogether.
This presentation will discuss critical factors from work-up and pretreatment planning to important considerations for providing an immediate fixed implant-supported restoration.

Emerging trends in digital workflows for surgical rehabilitation of completely edentulous patients
Take your practice to the next level with innovations in implantology
Prior to the 1990s, the field was held back by relatively high failure rates, delayed loading, conventional impressions, and long healing times. Today, cases can be planned digitally and surgically guided. Immediate loading implants can achieve high primary stability on day one while uniquely anodized surfaces virtually assure secondary stability and healthy keratinization.

Immediate full-arch prosthetic rehabilitation utilizing the All-on-4® treatment concept - Dr. Saj Jivraj and Dr. Hooman Zarrinkelk
Edentulous patients and patients with failing dentition who want a fixed prosthetic rehabilitation are very often faced with time-consuming, expensive, and uncomfortable bone grafting procedures. The perceived complexity of rehabilitation is a great obstacle to treatment acceptance for these patients and many dental clinicians as well. The All-on-4® treatment concept was developed by Nobel Biocare to eliminate many of the difficulties facing patients and clinicians. It allows for an immediate-function, full-arch, implant-supported prosthesis without the need for any bone grafting procedures, even in atrophic situations.
In a short time the attendees will observe complete rehabilitation of the patient, by delivery of a highly functional and esthetic solution supported by four implants in anatomically strategic positions and angles, thus dramatically increasing the quality of life for the patient.
The clinicians will highlight surgical protocol and key aspects to consider during surgery.
This course is intended for clinicians with experience in implant dentistry.
