Celebrating dental implant innovation in Monaco

by: Michael Stuart

800 dental professionals, a clinical case competition, “business dating” and a stunning venue by the Mediterranean Sea made our Monaco Symposium an event to remember.

Even with hundreds of participants, the scientific program with lectures and master classes from 60 renowned speakers catered to every taste.

Participants also had the chance to learn more about our products and solutions, including our new complete posterior solution, NobelParallel Conical Connection, NobelActive WP and our integrated treatment workflow.

Dr. Sascha Jovanovic hosts a hands-on session at the symposium.

Learning from the world's best

Over the course of two days, 60 renowned speakers from around the world shared their passion, knowledge and expertise with the delegates in high-energy presentations.

There was interactivity too, with a dedicated app allowing participants to ask questions during the lectures.

Dedicated session for technicians

A particularly popular initiative was the dedicated session for lab technicians. The session touched upon several different topics, including immediate implant placement protocols and esthetic-driven solutions.

As something very special, the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (MOF) hosted a session dedicated to CAD/CAM procedures. “Meilleurs Ouvriers” means “the best craftsmen”, and the MOF is a nation-wide organization that promotes different crafts and hosts contests for professionals from different trades.

Participants invited to go “business dating”

Attendees were invited to attend a “business dating” session. Participants were divided into groups according to their professional interests and had the chance to discuss anything from clinical matters to what it takes to start a dental practice.

Award winner announced

The event was also the stage for the announcement of the first “Implantology Grand Prix”, a clinical case competition. The first prize of €2,500 was won by Dr. Antoine Popelut (second from left above), who also presented in a session dedicated to young talents. Dr. Popelut and the two runner-ups will also have their cases published in the magazine Réalités Cliniques.

“Everything was perfect”

The event ended with a drinks in the sunshine at the beautiful Meridien Beach Plaza in Monaco. The evening was made especially elegant by the dress code, with all participants wearing white. Guests enjoyed a fine dinner with a beautiful view over the Mediterranean Sea.
