Os recursos tecnológicos atualmente disponíveis na Medicina Dentária, associados a anos de experiência clínico/cirúrgica e ao conhecimento científico produzido, permitem, sem qualquer dúvida, realizar diagnósticos mais precisos e tratamentos mais previsíveis e menos invasivos.

Neste curso serão abordados aspetos fundamentais para a realização de reabilitação oral implanto-suportada.

Entre os diferentes temas abordados alguns serão: a aquisição de dados clínicos diversos e a sua integração em software de diagnóstico e planeamento digital; a confeção e utilização de guias cirúrgicas e próteses provisórias; a realização e comparação da cirurgia guiada vs navegada; as vantagens, desvantagens e cuidados a ter com estas técnicas.

Os conteúdos formativos serão explanados num processo de aprendizagem teórico prático-clínico.

Designed for those that want to broaden their experience in implant dentistry on total edentulous patients, including Zygoma cases, this training  covers the All-on-4® surgical protocol in detail concentrating on all existing  approaches – Standard, Hybrid and Double-Zygoma.

It offers participants  a comprehensive training that will allow them to gain the skills and know-how  to successfully rehabilitate atrophic mandibles/maxillae as well as severely  resorbed maxillae in just a few hours, including live surgery, hands-on on both fresh frozen cadavers (1 full-day) and models.     

The course will take you through all the relevant aspects of the MALO CLINIC Protocol, from patient selection to treatment planning, and anatomic and imaging considerations,  all the way through to the fitting of the immediate and final prostheses so you can offer  immediate function to your patients even when facing with extremely atrophic maxilla and  mandible cases.

MALO CLINIC Education has created an observation program where the participant follows the daily work and surgical schedule of the MALO CLINIC Clinical Team.

Our Clinical Residencies are typically for much smaller groups of participants with a lot more focus on the daily work of the clinic rather than just on lectures and pure training programs. The participant can observe surgeries or other treatments, interacting closely with the Clinical and Lab Teams throughout the practice’s day.

The All-on-4® Concept is an innovative surgical procedure for the rehabilitation of edentulous jaws focusing entirely on the patient. By taking advantage of the dense bone available in the anterior maxilla and between the mandibular foramina, this widely applicable surgical technique allows the treatment of a significantly greater number of patients, while avoiding the need for complex, time consuming and often debilitating bone grafting procedures.

There is increased interest in the long-term clinical outcomes and quality of life of patients treated with PEEK (Poly-ether-ether-ketone), a high-performance polymer for the framework material for full-arch implant-supported dental prosthetics, based on the excellent results provided by recent scientific reports.

The presentations by MALO CLINIC will focus on the laboratory process, clinical outcomes and ongoing scientific investigations using PEEK polymer in full-arch implant supported prostheses (including zygomatic implants). During this day, the MALO CLINIC clinical team pioneer of the All-on-4® Concept will demonstrate how to achieve immediate function, excellent esthetics and predictable long-term success through a state-of-the-art protocol including, surgery, prosthodontics, and maintenance.

This course is targeted to Oral Surgeons, Prosthodontists, or Dental Laboratory Technicians that want to stay up to date with the latest protocols related to the All-on-4® Concept.

An introduction to implantology for dental assistants with no or minimal expereience, to gain knowledge from both clinical and patients perspective. Understand the importance of your role not only during procedures but in on-going patient communication.

This one day course will consist of hands-on training for implant placement including draping procedures.

A constante evolução na Implantologia, ao nível de materiais, técnicas e métodos, associada a uma maior esperança e qualidade de vida dos pacientes reabilitados, exige uma aprendizagem e atualização contínua por parte dos clínicos de forma a corresponderem eficazmente aos desafios que uma reabilitação implanto-suportada pode apresentar.

No pressuposto que nenhuma reabilitação implanto-suportada consegue sobreviver sem manutenção, e que a fase de manutenção se torna tão importante quanto a fase cirúrgica, foi necessário implementar um conjunto de normas de orientação clínica, com grande envolvimento técnico e epidemiológico, que potenciam maximizar a probabilidade de sucesso das reabilitações não só na fase de osteointegração, mas também na manutenção a longo termo, sendo o papel do Clínico de suma importância neste processo e sucesso da reabilitação.

O curso dará aos participantes formação teórica e prática na manutenção de próteses implanto-suportadas, de forma abrangente e completa, com um grande enfoque na consulta clínica e no melhor interesse do paciente e do Clínico.

Para tal, o treino proporcionado possui uma carga de conteúdo prático importante e significativo, sendo minucioso na prática clínica dando dicas para um melhor desempenho, juntamente com a integração de ferramentas epidemiológicas no processo de decisão clínico.
