Implant Maintenance – A Practical Approach

The constant evolution in Implant Dentistry with new materials, techniques and methods, along with a higher quality and expectancy of life of the rehabilitated patients, demands a continuing update and education by the clinicians in order to satisfactorily address the challenges that an implant-supported rehabilitation might present. Based on the assumption that no implant-supported rehabilitation can survive without maintenance, and that the maintenance phase is as important as the surgical phase, it became necessary to implement a set of clinical guidelines, with epidemiological and technical engagement, in order to maximize the probability of success of the rehabilitation not only during the osseointegration phase but also in long-term maintenance. In this regard, the involvement of the clinician is of crucial importance to achieve success. The main goal of this course is to provide participants with a comprehensive theoretical and hands-on training within the maintenance of implant-supported rehabilitations, with a strong focus on the clinical appointment and the best interest of both patient and clinician. To achieve this goal, the training considers an important and significant practical component with a meticulous clinical practice approach, integrating tips to enhance a better performance, along with the integration of epidemiological tools to support the clinical decision process.

The All-on-4® protocol is an innovative surgical procedure for the rehabilitation of edentulous jaws focusing entirely on the patient. By taking advantage of the dense bone available in the anterior maxilla and between the mandibular foramina, this widely applicable surgical technique allows for the treatment of a significantly greater number of patients, while avoiding the need for complex, time consuming and often debilitating bone grafting procedures. During 2 days, the MALO CLINIC clinical team will show you how the patient will have immediate function and excellent esthetics with a limited number of implants. This course will teach you the skills and know-how to treat edentulous patients using the All-on-4® surgical protocol following the MALO CLINIC Rehabilitation Protocol, from patient selection to treatment planning, all the way through to the fitting of the prosthesis so you can oer immediate function to your patients. COMPUTER AND NAVIGATION GUIDED SURGERY - FP1 and All-on-4® guided prostheses

This interactive course is structured to provide step-by-step training at a very personal level. It utilizes case-based learning methods emphasizing evidence-based and daily use learning. Participants will experience how to use the Static Guided Surgery and the Dynamic Navigation Surgery X-GuideTM in the different clinical scenarios from partial edentulous to fully edentulous patients. The DTX studioTM implant and the DTX studioTM Lab software will be presented, and it will be described how to streamline the digital workflow to make more predictable the immediate implant placement and the immediate provisionalization concept. The attendees will increase their confidence and skills with digital planning and computer-guided surgery for treatment of the partial and fully edentulous patients. Indications and limitations of the static and dynamic guided surgery will be reviewed and discussed, and advanced procedures addressed, including mini-flap, flap in combination with grafting, sinus elevation techniques, and protocols for immediate implant placements. Simplified surgical and prosthetic procedures will be addressed to make the immediate loading protocols reliable in daily practice. Special emphasis will be given to implant aesthetics and interdisciplinary treatment plan.
