Mentor program by DR. DANIEL FANG — Implant Treatment Planning, Surgical and Prosthetic Considerations
2022 Posterior Know-how — Interactive training course
There are a lot of special precautions when we do dental implants at the posterior maxillary and mandibular region. It’s never meant to be very easy, although not esthetically as important when compare with the implant in the esthetic zone. All sorts of posterior problems such as the ID nerve and lingual nerve, the maxillary sinus, the proximity to the throat and airway, the accessibility due to the cheek and the tongue makes placing dental implant in this region more challenging. Moreover, there are unique resorption pattern such as maxillary sinus pneumontization and the typical knife edge posterior mandibular ridge and loss of vertical bone volume sometimes made dental implant placement very difficult and risky.
This course aims to walk you through the journey of knowing the limitation, pre-operative assessment and decision marking when doing dental implant at the posterior region of the jaw. Bone augmentation at this area will be mentioned as well as immediate placement. We hope to give you some up-to-date evidence based practical tips during the 2 days learning. Live surgical demonstration, hands-on practical sessions and case base small group discussions will also be provided, hoping to make the course more interactive. We will see you there!
Topics will include
- Decision making on posterior region
- Soft tissue management at posterior zone
- Immediate implant placement in posterior region
- Sinus augmentation, GBR & material
- Complication on dental implant surgery
- Peri-implantitis and treatment
Immediate full-arch rehabilitation utilizing the All-on-4® Treatment Concept: Saskatoon
COMPUTER AND NAVIGATION GUIDED SURGERY - FP1 and All-on-4® guided prostheses
This interactive course is structured to provide step-by-step training at a very personal level. It utilizes case-based learning methods emphasizing evidence-based and daily use learning. Participants will experience how to use the Static Guided Surgery and the Dynamic Navigation Surgery X-GuideTM in the different clinical scenarios from partial edentulous to fully edentulous patients. The DTX studioTM implant and the DTX studioTM Lab software will be presented, and it will be described how to streamline the digital workflow to make more predictable the immediate implant placement and the immediate provisionalization concept. The attendees will increase their confidence and skills with digital planning and computer-guided surgery for treatment of the partial and fully edentulous patients. Indications and limitations of the static and dynamic guided surgery will be reviewed and discussed, and advanced procedures addressed, including mini-flap, flap in combination with grafting, sinus elevation techniques, and protocols for immediate implant placements. Simplified surgical and prosthetic procedures will be addressed to make the immediate loading protocols reliable in daily practice. Special emphasis will be given to implant aesthetics and interdisciplinary treatment plan.
Maximum number of participants: 12 - 20.

Mastering atrophic jaw rehabilitation - Tilted implants from surgery to prosthesis
The use of tilted implants has fundamentally changed the way to perform implant supported total rehabilitation. Greater patient comfort, greater predictability and better esthetic results are just a few of the many advantages this revolutionary approach has to offer.
Leading expert Prof. Enrico Agliardi and his team will draw upon over 15 years of successful treatment and follow up with tilted implants. They will teach you how to deliver immediate esthetic rehabilitation in just a few hours after surgery, and how to manage the final prosthesis for long term success.
Number of participants: 10-15.
