Dr. Matts Andersson earned his DDS from the University of Gothenburg in 1978 and a Ph.D. in Oral Prosthetics from Umeå University in 1996. He served as an Associate Professor at Chalmers University in the Department of Product and Production Development. He founded Procera in 1985, a digital manufacturing system for dental crowns and bridges, until it was acquired by Nobelpharma (later Nobel Biocare) in 1987.  

At Nobel Biocare, he served as Chief Scientist, Director of Early Development, and led the development of Procera, between 1988-2012.  Dr. Andersson has received numerous awards during his career, including the Project of the Year (Guldägget) from Nobel Industries in 1994. He has been responsible for numerous research projects and has extensive experience in clinical work and mentorship.
