Dr. Andrés Peñalva

Dr. Andrés Peñalva earned his dental degree from Universidad Intercontinental (UIC) in 2004, followed by advanced specialty training in Periodontics from 2005 to 2007. His passion for periodontics has led him to focus extensively on advanced grafting procedures and implant dentistry, with particular expertise in remote anchorage implant placement.

He has developed a strong clinical reputation in the field of zygomatic implants, having placed over 800 to date. His work in this highly specialized area has positioned him as a national and international lecturer and has led to a formal affiliation with the globally recognized ZAGA Centers, where he leads the only certified center in Mexico City.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Peñalva holds academic appointments in the Department of Periodontics at Universidad Intercontinental (UIC) and the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at ENES-UNAM, where he remains actively involved in postgraduate education and mentorship.

Dr. Peñalva is also a member of one of the country’s oldest and most prestigious study clubs, El Ateneo Odontológico Mexicano, where he currently serves as Scientific Chair.

He maintains a full-time clinical practice in Mexico City in partnership with Dr. Ricardo Mitrani.
