Optimal treatment solution for the edentulous patient using the All-on-4® treatment concept: Including long-term maintenance and complications

Oct 14, 2022
Woodbury, MN, US
Dr Ken Parrish

Completely edentulous jaws are a much more widespread handicap than most of us realize. Major barriers for solving the problem are the perceived complexity and high cost of treatment. With innovative new solutions, this no longer needs to be the case.

The All-on-4® treatment concept offers a viable and cost-effective implant-based solution for edentulous jaws that produces immediate patient satisfaction. This course will present a surgical and prosthetic overview of the All-on-4® treatment concept, including Immediate Function and full-case rehabilitation.

This course is designed for clinicians who are experienced in placing dental implants.

Learning outcomes

After this course, the participant will...

–      Be able to recognize proven alter-natives to grafts and sinus lifts.

–      Have adequate knowledge of affordable screw-retained prostheses.

–      Apply shortened treatment time leading to greater patient acceptance.

–      Be able to identify patient selection—indications and contraindications.

–      Be familiar with medication protocols and prosthodontic rehabilitation options.

–      Confidently implement the All-on-4® treatment concept as a business.

COMPUTER AND NAVIGATION GUIDED SURGERY - FP1 and All-on-4® guided prostheses

Oct 20 - 22, 2022
Roma, IT-RM, IT
Prof Alessandro Pozzi

This interactive course is structured to provide step-by-step training at a very personal level. It utilizes case-based learning methods emphasizing evidence-based and daily use learning. Participants will experience how to use the Static Guided Surgery and the Dynamic Navigation Surgery X-GuideTM in the different clinical scenarios from partial edentulous to fully edentulous patients. The DTX studioTM implant and the DTX studioTM Lab software will be presented, and it will be described how to streamline the digital workflow to make more predictable the immediate implant placement and the immediate provisionalization concept. The attendees will increase their confidence and skills with digital planning and computer-guided surgery for treatment of the partial and fully edentulous patients. Indications and limitations of the static and dynamic guided surgery will be reviewed and discussed, and advanced procedures addressed, including mini-flap, flap in combination with grafting, sinus elevation techniques, and protocols for immediate implant placements. Simplified surgical and prosthetic procedures will be addressed to make the immediate loading protocols reliable in daily practice. Special emphasis will be given to implant aesthetics and interdisciplinary treatment plan.

Optimal treatment solution for the edentulous patient: Using software to plan3D navigation cases for the using the All-on-4® treatment concept

Oct 29, 2022
Beverly Hills, CA, US
Dr Ken Parrish

Navigated technology has demonstrated the predictability of static guides without many of the challenges/limitations. Three-dimensional navigated implant placement offers much more than routine surgical accuracy and precision. The intuitive software interface makes planning rapid and simple. Patient-satisfying immediacy can then become a realistic routine option. The plan should also be used for education as it allows patients to see their specific condition and appreciate anatomic risks as a necessary prerequisite for informed consent. Just as importantly, demonstrating the technology to the patient is a great practice builder. Educated patients expect to see technology-driven practices and are more likely to gain confidence and place their trust in a progressive dental practice.

The All-on-4® treatment concept offers a viable and cost-effective implant-based solution for edentulous jaws that produces immediate patient satisfaction. This course will present a surgical and prosthetic overview of the All-on-4® treatment concept, using software to plan 3D navigation during the surgery.

Learning outcomes

After this course, the participant will understand...

– The workflow of 3D navigated implant placement from diagnostics through planning and surgical delivery. Included will be how to make any necessary adjustments to the plan even mid-surgery.

– Implant placement, even in immediate sites, can be accurate and precise with real-time feedback and tactile sensitivity maintained. This is critical in cases where bone density has to be monitored during the osteotomy when primary stability with immediate provisionalization is a goal.

– How the efficiency of navigated implant placement using X-Guide® allows routine treatment of patients even on an immediate urgent/emergent basis.

– What prosthetically driven surgical planning can do to improve referral communication and satisfaction and strengthen the referral relationship while growing the practice.
