Nobel Biocare N1™ system

Implant

The Nobel Biocare N1 Implant is built for immediate placement and function.

It features a unique trioval conical connection, improving handling of prosthetic components while facilitating a gentler interaction with bone at the platform of the implant.

The trioval shape reduces cortical stress compared to round implants

Round implants have a circumferential zone of high peri-implant strain. Trioval implants have very little or no strain in fifty percent of the peri-implant environmment.

This implicates more bone viability around trioval implants compared to round implants due to a higher volume of osteocytes closer to the osteotomy.

(A) The white arrow denotes a circumferential osteocyte-free zone and dotted white line demarcates the osteotomy edge. DAPI staining of interfacial bone surrounding a representative round implant shows increased stress around the implant.

(B) A representative trioval implant demonstrates more osteocytes and reduced cortical stress around the implant.
