Dr. Joseph Kan presents on immediate loading in Sydney
Held in the vibrant Darling Harbour area, just a short distance from the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Nobel Biocare Australia Symposium took delegates on an evidence-based journey covering 50 years of osseointegration and the proven success of the TiUnite surface.
The event featured a host of expert speakers. Highlights included Dr. Peter Wöhrle presenting a 20-year review of single tooth replacement in the esthetic zone and Dr. Joseph Kan (pictured above) sharing the latest thinking in evidence-based immediate tooth replacement. The program also included Dr. Laureen Langer and Dr. Torsten Jemt who shared insights from their 30 years of experience in public and private settings.
Research and science were main themes right from the start. The Friday afternoon session covered biological complications with a focus on the many forces at play when peri-

New protocols, procedures and products were all on show in Sydney. The recently launched complete posterior solution, creos regenerative solutions and the integrated treatment workflow were discussed in detail. Several lectures highlighted the efficacy of immediate loading protocols using our solutions in a variety of indications, from single missing teeth to edentulous arches.
Participants had the chance to put their new skills into practice in hands-on sessions
Bringing labs and clinicians together
We introduced a new partnering concept at the event, with all active NobelProcera partner laboratories given the opportunity to display their work at two dedicated “find-a-lab” hubs. This allowed delegates to discover local labs that offer Nobel Biocare’s latest FCZ (full-contour zirconia) and ASC (angulated screw channel) solutions.
What the attendees had to say:
Feedback received from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. Here’s what some of them had to say about the event:
“The Sydney Symposium was an excellent event, which I thoroughly enjoyed attending. The speakers were world-class, as were the presentations. There was a good mix of science and clinical cases, and I felt the presentations were pitched at the higher end (which was refreshing). The venue was great, and the social event I attended very well run. Well done to the organizing committees!"

"Attending the one-day workshop with Dr. Joseph Kan was a privilege and mind-blowing. Not only is Jo a great speaker, but the caliber of his presentation is some of the best I've seen. To be inspired by a world-class clinician who is constantly pushing the envelope and not afraid of showing his failures is a humbling experience. The conference itself carried a fantastic local and international line-up. The topics explored were contemporary and engaging. The main theme of the conference is excellent, focusing on long-term studies covering both private and public sectors. The after-party was a great touch and everyone I spoke to had a great time."

"It was an excellent meeting, scientific and educational and, most importantly, an event which honored the life and legacy of Per-Ingvar Brånemark."
