Please find below the published literature on clinical follow-up studies on Immediate Function of Nobel Biocare implants.
To summarize, highest success rates are found when splinting multiple implants in sites with sufficient bone density using implants with an osseoconductive surface (TiUnite™). Highest risk is found in single tooth cases in the posterior maxilla combined with soft bone quality, short implants, long supra structures and parafunction.
Note that abstracts, reviews, case reports, technique descriptions, animal and in vitro tests are excluded.

A total of 99 publications are reporting on immediate and early function of Nobel Biocare implants. All indications and all oral regions are represented. The cumulative survival rate varies between 70 to 100% after a follow-up of up to 5 years.

There are 33 published articles reporting on clinical studies on immediate and early (within 1 week) function of single tooth restorations supported by Nobel Biocare implants. All oral regions (i.e. upper and lower jaw, anterior and posterior positions) are represented. The cumulative survival rate varies between 81 to 100%.

29 publications are reporting  on clinical studies on immediate and early (within 1 week) function of partial restorations supported by Nobel Biocare implants. All oral regions (i.e. upper and lower jaw, anterior and posterior positions) are represented. The CSR varies between 82 to 100 %.

A total of 54 publications are reporting on clinical studies on immediate and early function of full jaw, fixed bridge restorations, supported by Nobel Biocare implants. The majority are mandibular cases, however, there are publications also of maxillary cases. The CSR varies between 80 to 100 %.

There are 15 clinical studies reporting on immediately loaded overdentures. The majority of publications reports on overdentures supported by 4 implants and a bar (6 studies) or 2 implants and ball attachments (5 studies). The CSR varies between 71 to 100 %.
