TREATMENT PLANNING

Factors to consider when planning an Overdenture patient:

• Treatment can be based on the patient's existing conventional denture if wear, function and esthetics permit
• Implants should be within 10° of parallel positions
• Important issues to bear in mind for good function are control of denture-removal forces, positioning of occlusal plane and load conditions.
