This course will incorporate: Periodontal disease and caries still affects many elderly patients. The last teeth to survive are often several grossly compromised anterior teeth. Many patients cope quite well with a full maxillary denture but struggle with a complete lower denture and delay seeking appropriate treatment. This is often due to fear and uncertainty of what options are available to them. Immediately placed and loaded implants have been used successfully for many years to support immediate provisional bridges and ultimately, full-arch fixed bridges in both the upper and the lower jaw.
