Ronald E Goldstein

Dr. Goldstein is currently clinical professor of oral rehabilitation at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, Augusta, Georgia. He is also adjunct clinical professor of prosthodontics at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, and an adjunct professor of restorative dentistry at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Goldstein has presented continuing education courses at more than twenty universities and lectured at over 400 dental meetings. He has contributed to ten published texts and authored the text Esthetics In Dentistry (B. C. Decker). He is coauthor of other texts, including Bleaching Teeth, Porcelain Laminate Veneers, Porcelain and Composite Inlays & Onlays, Complete Dental Bleaching, and Imaging in Esthetic Dentistry (all Quintessence Publishing). His best-selling consumer book for the public entitled Change Your Smile (Quintessence), now in its third edition, and has been read by over l,000,000 people and has been translated into seven languages.

Joseph Kan

Dr. Joseph Kan completed his specialty certificate in prosthodontics, and received a masters degree and certificate in advanced implant dentistry from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry (LLUSD) in 1996. His honors include the 1997 Best Research Award from the Academy of Osseointegration and the 2002 Judson C. Hickey Scientific Writing Award from the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. He served as the clinical director for the Center for Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry at LLUSD from 1996 to 1998. He is currently a professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and the coordinator of the Pre-Doctoral Implant Program at LLUSD. He also maintains a private practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry.

Sascha Jovanovic

Dr. Jovanovic was formally trained in Periodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry, in implant dentistry at Loma Linda University, and in prosthodontics at the University of Aachen, Germany. He holds a Master of Science degree in oral biology from UCLA. He is the director and founder of the web based Global Institute for Dental Education (www.globalinstituteonline.com). He is the past president of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) and a past board member of the Osseointegration Foundation (OF). He has lectured extensively worldwide and has published over 60 articles and book chapters, and one textbook titled Color Atlas of Implantology (Thieme Publ). He is on several editorial boards for scientific journals and has published a DVD-education series on advanced implant therapy. He is the current editor-in-chief of the Dental Implant Tribune. He specializes in dental implant therapy and bone & soft tissue reconstruction.

Lesley David

Dr. David received her DDS degree from McGill University in 1993. After two years of general practice, she pursued specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Toronto, which she completed in 1999. She is in private practice in Toronto and is an associate clinician at the University of Toronto. At the University, Dr. David is involved in teaching and research in the Implant Prosthodontics Unit and also teaches in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic. She is on staff at the Mt. Sinai Hospital, the Trillium Hospital, and the Credit Valley Hospital. Dr. David is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and an examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada Fellowship Examinations in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. David has published several articles and lectures nationally and internationally on various topics in implant dentistry.

Markus Blatz

Dr. Blatz is Professor of Restorative Dentistry and Chairman of the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Blatz came to Penn Dental Medicine from Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Dentistry in New Orleans, where he was chairman of the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry and Biomaterials; Assistant Dean of Clinical Research; and director of the Masters of Science in Oral Biology Program. He graduated and received an additional doctorate from the University of Freiburg, Germany, where he also completed his postgraduate training in Prosthodontics. Dr. Blatz is associate editor of Quintessence International and Quintessence of Dental Technology, an editorial board member of several recognized dental journals including Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Journal of Adhesive Dentistry, Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, and is a reviewer for numerous scientific dental journals.

Peter Wöhrle

Dr. Wöhrle received his DMD degree cum laude and Master of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1988. Additionally, he has completed advanced education programs in prosthodontics and implant dentistry at Harvard, and a four-year certified dental technician program in Switzerland. While at Harvard, he worked with his mentor, Dr. Paul Schnitman, on the groundbreaking concept of Immediate Loading with Brånemark implants. Once in private practice, Dr. Wöhrle applied these principles to the concept of immediate tooth replacement in the esthetic zone. More recently, Dr. Wöhrle developed the NobelPerfect scalloped margin implant system. He is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, the European Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the American College of Prosthodontists. He is renowned as the only dentist with formal training in the interrelated fields of implant surgery, prosthodontics, and laboratory technology.
